1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Koinos you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We'll notify users through the app for significant changes.

2. Who Can Use Koinos

Koinos is available to anyone aged 13 and over. By using the app, you represent that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country if higher)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these terms
• You will use Koinos in compliance with applicable laws and these terms
• If you are under 18, you have parental or guardian consent

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@koinos.faith if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.

4. Use of Content

Bible text and related devotional content on Koinos is provided for personal, non-commercial spiritual use. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or sell Koinos content outside the app
• Use the app's content to build competing products or services
• Scrape or systematically download content through automated means
• Remove or alter any copyright or attribution notices

Worship music and sermon content is licensed for personal listening only. Please respect the creators who made that content.

5. Community Guidelines

Koinos is a faith community. When posting in the feed, sending messages, or interacting with others, you agree not to post content that:

• Is hateful, abusive, harassing, or threatening to any person or group
• Is sexually explicit or inappropriate for a faith-based community
• Promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activity
• Is spam, misinformation, or deliberately deceptive
• Infringes on anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, without notice.

6. Premium Subscriptions

Koinos offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or RevenueCat Web Billing depending on your platform. The following terms apply:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings
• Refunds are governed by the platform through which you subscribed (Apple/Google/Stripe)
• A portion of every premium subscription is donated to global nonprofits — this is real and non-negotiable

7. Intellectual Property

The Koinos name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Koinos and protected by copyright and trademark law. Bible translations used within the app are licensed under their respective terms (API.Bible). Worship music and sermon content belongs to their respective rights holders.

User-generated content (posts, comments, profile information) remains yours. By posting it, you grant Koinos a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the app.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Koinos is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We make no warranty that any devotional content, community posts, or third-party content is accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Koinos and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
